This policy applies to ATC Test Trainer, a product of Martianis Corporation, incorporated in Ontario, Canada.
We comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and
applicable Ontario privacy law.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide and improve the service:
Account information — name, email address, and password (hashed, never stored in plain text).
OAuth identifiers — if you sign in via Google, we receive your Google account ID and public profile name. We do not receive or store your Google password.
Training data — session results, answer accuracy, response times, difficulty level progression, and module performance data generated while using the platform.
Billing information — payment confirmation details from Stripe (transaction ID, amount, currency, date). We never receive, process, or store your card number, CVV, or banking information. All card data is handled exclusively by Stripe's PCI-DSS-certified infrastructure.
Usage and technical data — browser type, device type, IP address, session timestamps, and error logs, collected automatically to maintain service security and reliability.
Communications — if you submit a support ticket, the content of that message and your contact information.
2. How We Use Your Information
To create and maintain your account and authenticate your identity.
To deliver personalised training sessions, adaptive difficulty, and progress tracking.
To process payments and manage your Pro entitlement via Stripe.
To respond to support tickets and service enquiries.
To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
To analyse aggregate, anonymised usage patterns to improve the platform.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
Google OAuth — optional sign-in. Governed by Google's privacy policy when used.
Hosting infrastructure — servers located in Canada. No personal data is intentionally transferred outside Canada without appropriate safeguards.
4. Data Retention
Your account and all training history are retained for as long as your account exists, including after a Pro period expires. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at support@martianis.com. Payment records may be retained for up to 7 years to satisfy Canadian tax and accounting obligations.
5. Your Rights (PIPEDA)
Under PIPEDA you have the right to:
Know what personal information we hold about you.
Access your personal information and request a copy.
Correct inaccurate information.
Withdraw consent and request deletion (subject to legal retention requirements).
Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
We use a single encrypted session cookie to maintain your login state. No third-party advertising cookies are used. You may disable cookies in your browser, but doing so will prevent you from signing in.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures including HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, bcrypt-hashed passwords, and access-controlled infrastructure. No transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but take reasonable steps to protect your data.
8. Children
ATC Test Trainer is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has registered, please contact us immediately.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notice. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
